p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Yellowstone Series

These were all taken in the last couple of days. The weather seems to be moving fallish and there have been some great clouds. Trying to apply some of the tips I've received after recents posts. Really appreciate any C/C re: photo or PP. Thanks for looking.

nice comps, nice clouds. It is easy for the light to blow out details, you chose nice time of day to shoot.

I think the lighting in #2 is very interesting. It does seem to need a bit more contrast and PP but even as is I like it and it is my favorite. #1 could be improved by correcting the distortion. (That should be an easy fix with the distort-liquefy tool.) The clouds in #4 are great but I think a different crop would make an improvement. As is the horizon is too close to center. You could crop either the foreground or some of the clouds. I would crop off some of the foreground.

Sorry if my comments are more picky than you would like but you did ask for C&C. Overall, I think this is a really nice series.

All very nice but have to agree with the rest that the 4th is best!

Great series, all of them, but No.4 calls to me the most.

Thanks for the comments. An old dog here learning a little at a time. Will have to do a little research on the distort/liquefy tool.

If you're using Lightroom, use the Straightening tool..see if that helps.

Thanks for the idea, Sunny. Neither straightening nor lens distortion provide a complete fix. I see where liquefy could work but it will take some trial and error- it seems a pretty complex tool when you want precise lines. Again, thanks for your input.
