Just got back from Mt. Rainier last week. It was very relaxing, I got some great light and had an awesome time on this trip

I was fortunate to get a variety of images from this trip. I really like this one because of the lines, colors and light. If you look closely you can see a couple deer in the meadow (about 30 feet from me) which I believe help give it a sense of scale.

Sometimes it just all comes together

Holy smokes now that is awesome, great comp, color, lighting and you glued the deer down in the perfect spot too

Beautiful shot. Seems like everyone was at Mt Rainier or Columbia Gorge recently. Great time to be there.

Awesome capture! I would love to shoot some place like this. Just amazing. Its a far cry from the 117 degrees that we will have in my town today! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Brian,

I think those same two deer were up out there posing on Monday evening too! They kept sending tourists down the trail asking me to go shoot them, but I was too busy with Mt Rainier taking a bath in golden mist,

I like the magneta tones in the background, and the layers in the slope of flowers in the foreground are balanced really well as well. What a beautiful sight here!

What a great shot!

Do you carry a telephoto with you? I'm no wildlife photographer, I just appreciate wildlife, so I'll carry a telephoto with me in case an event like this arises.

What an awesome opportunity - great shot! The only critters I get in my shots are mosquitoes!

I carry a 70-300mm with me not by choice its actually a really really bad sigma lens

This was taken at 35mm on the Nikon 16-35 F4. I'm planning on getting 70-200mm along with 24-105 then I'm done

The image is great without the deer. With them, it really put it over the top.
