Wahkeena falls is an easy stole from the scenic highway that runs through the Columbia River Gorge. We enjoyed the solitude and beauty of this less visited attraction late in the afternoon of July 4.

After setting up and taking a few different compositions I realized that my camera and filter were soaked by the spray blown off the falls by a stiff wind so I moved and worked from other locations. On reviewing the first image, I liked the effect the water droplets caused on some of the green areas. There were many dark spots on the falls that I removed by blurring that part of the image in post processing. The other images have standard processing.
