I was asked to shoot a fundraiser event for be the match foundation in Portland a few weeks ago so we decided to drive from Northern California up the coast to Portland..

Our car barley fit had to move the mirrors in.

Geesh, bringing back seriously good childhood memories of driving up Hwy 1 and visiting the many Giant Sequoia groves throughout Nor Cal. I thought they didn't let cars drive through them any more, so cool to see that first one.

Really cool, fun family shots on the beach. The sass really comes across in No. 4. Nos. 9 and 11 are gorgeous landscape scenic shots. Cool perspective on 10 with the kids close to that giant rock, but I would like the kids closer in 21-22-23.

Overall, great series! Really loved going through them!

Nice set Bruce! On my monitor some of the landscapes with people in them, the people look like they have a sharpening halo about them, may be my monitor.

I see it on my work monitor as well. No extra sharpening applied to these I shot these straight out of camera sharpening at 2. I believe it is caused by the compression or output.

Bruce, if you post these as web-sized on flickr, they apply an automatic sharpening to all images as part of their upload process. No getting around it. When you upload a full-resolution image, you barely notice it, if at all. But if you upload a web-sized JPG (say 1200 pixels wide or long), the sharpening is very noticeable.

As a result, I only upload full-res pictures to flickr.
