Visited Cape Town on business earlier this Summer. Due to the amount of other equipment that I was carrying, I decided to go light with my equipment and instead of taking my normal FX equipment I decided to to got with a combination Nikon V1 (and 3 lenses) -- more on that later and a IR Modfied Lumix G3 and a 20mm f1.7 lens. The combination of the three cameras, 4 lenses, and two charger probably weighed about the same as my D600 kit lens and 50mm f1.4 :-) !

Not going to claim that I did not miss the big boy camera, but the combination of little guys did really well. Here are some of the IR landscapes from the Lumix -- most of these are stitched panos which are about 16,000 pixels wide. Was thinking of selling this camera and picking up a used D7000 for modification to IR (larger sensor, lens and battery compatibility with my D600) but am now not sure if its worth it -- the EVF is such a great feature!!.

I viewed your shots this morning and, one thing and another, forgot to return and comment. So, no indifference, just a senior thing.

I'm liking IR more and more (Black & White version) because of work like this, and while they're all evocative of place I have to go with the last one in line—it reminds me of the Southwest.

I generally agree with your picks...as well as your comment on getting rid'o'some'sky on the second photo... which I have actually done on some of my prints as well as desaturating about 50% of the sepia out of the image as well.

That said, that image might actually be my favorite of the bunch... but it does suffer the more than the others when web-sized. Here is a version that you may like better:
