p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · My 6 year old daughter, showing her true colors!

Her name is Samantha, but I call her Hambone because she is always hamming around and is as strong as an ox. She has the tempter of a tiger, but still has a gentle side as shown in this photo. This was a very spur of the moment photo, in a very busy room with a crowd. I was on a catwalk about 15 feet above her. Handheld, natural light.

Gentle side of Hambone...

She's adorable! How on earth did she get that butterfly to perch on her hand?

We were in the butterfly portion of the Indianapolis Zoo, she was able to coax several to land and stay on her. She gave several to other people so they could get pictures. She has a way with animals.

Fifteen feet ABOVE her? Well, okay .
Regardless of my little nit, I think this is a fantastic image.
You, your daughter, and the butterfly did your jobs really well .

Charlie, it was 15' up and about 30' to the front her... not just up! I wanted the green background in the whole shot and she is short enough that I needed the elevation with a 300 to pull it off. I watched her for about 10 minutes before she put on the show for me. I did not pose her, she did it. She really enjoys being in front of a camera.

Thanks for the extra info- I can now put my little nit to rest .
I like that your daughter did the posing on her own; to me it shows- and well.
