Love the composition and the colour one is nice, but the polarized sky is too much for my likings.

This is tough, I like them both. But, I think for me the conversion you did to B&W wins.

Different-yet-equal to me, Helen.
Both versions work.
The color version illustrates a problem I often have when there are large areas of grass, small leaves, gravel- and grainy rock like you have here. I find it almost impossible to get it sharp without the pic looking oversharpened.
The B&W masks that some, so for me it's the better version.
