Given all the shots in here over the years I figured this might be appropriate. This happened yesterday. I don't know the area but (copy past link)...

Suppose this will change the look things quite a bit?

I just saw that video on youtube - wild stuff, and a strong reminder of what mother nature can do with little or no warning...

I'm a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas. So I'm intimately familiar with the look of the Franklin Mountains, that split the town in half. Back in 2006, we had our annual rainfall in a couple days in August. We had massive flooding all over the city. There was flooding in areas that you wouldn't expect. After that, various places on the mountain had a different look. Even from miles away, it was easy to see that the massive amount of water had changed the landscape. Six years later, these scars are still clearly visible.

Thanks for sharing the video...

Eric

Holy cow. We stop at that Maverick gas station four times a year on our vacations. That is a lot of mud!

Gotta think a big, fast flood like that will remove a lot of sand from the bottom of the canyons. Can't wait to see a before/after comparison.
