Sometimes it's fun to see the original color image that generated a black and white. Here is the color version of the panorama. You can see how the tones and colors were "mapped" to the BW. D800E, 70-200mm 2.8VRII ISO100 f/13 1/115 second at 70mm

Love it love it. I wanted to see a color when I first saw the B&W. This is fantastic.

Both are grand - but I really like the color version just because of the range of color and the a beautiful detail -

Super shot. Love the colors. You had great conditions and you took full advantage of that.
Last time I was there I could barely make out the mountain range due to forest fires.

Matt, this is stunning! I prefer the color version, although both are great. If this were my image, I would probably crop just a small amount off the right hand side (to just right of the first letter of your last name, in your watermark).

I really like the color version better.
Man this one Really needs to be hanging on a wall in a very large size

Some people answer to what is a great zoom wide angle lens for landscape, with 14-24 Nikon, or 16-36 Canon, but they need to see your work with a 70-200, they may change there mind.
