p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Question on shooting in the Big Sur Area
I may have an opportunity in late October or early November to spend a couple of days in the Big Sur area and another couple of days in San Francisco. When would a good time be to shoot around in the Big Sur area? Also, is if i go during a full moon night, is there anything interesting in Big Sur to shoot during that time?
Thank you for your time.

Maji-
San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area are probably good for a lifetime of exploring with a camera- so I won't even get into that. Plus, I don't know a lot of specifics.
One thing I CAN recommend is the spectacular drive from Big Sur down State #1 to the San Simeon area to watch the elephant seals- up close and personal.
Check what times of the year they are ashore.
The elephant seals are also at another beach near Santa Cruz- but I've never been there.

McWay Falls is pretty amazing to photograph but everyone goes there, if you are there at night you might have the place to yourself. There are some good examples of the Milky Way over McWay falls on this forum. Check my website for a few photos of McWay during the blue hour, I also have some other photos from Big Sur.
As far as San Francisco, I'm a big fan of the Sutro Baths, also Marshall Beach is an epic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Treasure Island has some really cool spots too.
