Hi,

After my trip to the double arche (see post here) I wanted to challenge my brand new 14-24mm with something else.

So I planned a hike to the Mont-Blanc. Unfortunatly, first time was stormy and it ends up with some rainbow shoot but not what I wanted. However this allowed me to spot the site and plan a new visit.

A few days ago there was a big storm. So I planned a new visit and yesterday evening decided to want there.

Shooted a good part of the night.

I forgot to add some technical details about the shooting itself.

So all pictures were taken with D800E + 14-24mm on tripod.

For astro photo (or kind of), these were my first serious one. I don't have any special technic here espect keeping timing exposure short so that stars appears as dots and not trails.

#2 pick for favorite as well. Is it the Lac Blanc in the foreground? That location would be terrific for a time lapse sequence.

Hi Fred,

No this is the "Chéserys" lake which is just under the lake "Blanc". More FOV available than
on the lake "Blanc". Sure timelapse sequence would be cool too.
