Very nice capture! I was able to get some shots of this bird for the first time during my last visit to Viera Wet in May. A whole big flock of them.
Very interesting bird and you got it very well

Socrate, I live about 1 hour south of Viera... like you, I also visited Viera back in May for the first time. Don't have any of the big telies, but I had a loan from CPS with one.. It kind of gave me the fever to get one. I enjoyed the challenge to get BIF.. It not as easy as you see, with some of the wonderful posts of BIF here on FM.

If your down this way again, you should consider Blue Cypress Lake, not to far from Viera. Lots of Osprey.

I agree with Ron. Also, shooting wide open might give the duck more isolation from the background
