You have a really cool scene here, but it's a little too overprocessed for me. Maybe try and re-process the image with the tone mapping set lower?

Looks like a really relaxing place to photograph. I'm sure you had fun out there.

Thanks for the comment. Always appreciated.
I was totally going for the HDR look using one photo.

Given that you were wanting an HDR look, my only comment would be making some adjustments to the sky portion of the image.
The clouds look a bit blown out with loss of detail and then too dark as well, there is also uneven illumination of the blue sky. A couple little dust bunnies too. I think the HDR image would look much more appealing with these touched up. Very nice composition!

Hi Marhsall,

I agree this looks too overprocessed. Reading your comments you said you were going for the HDR look, but it doesn't look anything at all like an HDR, it just looks like an overprocessed shot. Typically an HDR shot will open up the shadows and end up making like the light source is coming from another direction. None of that's here. I personally don't like the HDR look, but I will say that to get the HDR look you need to start with a range of exposures from a scene from totally blown out to equally dark.

You have a cool composition, for myself I would rather just see it processed normally and enjoyed in it's natural beauty.

All points well taken. I had watched some You Tube vids yesterday on the new Lightroom 5 and was kind of playing around. Maybe over zealous. I will post the original soon (with "normal" processing).

Marshall4,

I like the image (and processing therein) a lot.

I agree with the feedback about overall processing and particularly the sky.
Tone down the sky and I think the image works.
I still prefer HDR that doesnt look like HDR.
