With a few days off this week, and the need for some photography again I managed an early start two days in a row. this is the first real photography for me since the bluebells and even then I only took 1 picture, so now we are up to three decent ones this year already
the first early day I got up was for a 1-2-1 tuition and on that day there was some lovely mist. on the second day when I went out, no mist but that's how it goes!

Both shots are two shot blends, the vertical and warmer image was taken with 5dmk2 and zuiko 21mm 2.8, the other version with a contax 28mm 2.8 both images had nearly the exact same WB settings. quite a change between lenses!

both f11, around 60th I think

Simon, you should be up early more often. Just ask the dogs, they'll tell you!

You mined a simple scene well using two focal lengths from one spot; I like the first slightly more, the highlighted water is more of a hint than in the wide view. Looks like a great day to walk. But did you leave The Big Nikkor at home?

This makes me "homesick," just remember I have the GPS co-ordinates for your kitchen...

Hey Simon,

What a beautiful morning. #2 is my favorite of the two. While the foreground is nice, I am thinking the clouds really make the shot here, and they frame the scene the best in #2.
