I recently spent a week in Northern Quebec near the mouth of the St. Lawrence River photographing birds that we never see in Southern California. The most fun birds to photograph were the Atlantic Puffins. Here are a few images I hope you enjoy. Most of these images were captured using a Canon 7D with a Canon EF 500/4 lens with and without a 1.4 Extender. My 7D was having trouble locking onto these fast moving birds in flight. The last image was taken with a borrowed Canon 1DX which was a great improvement.

you've got many top-notch shots of these wonderful birds
and some playful comps
4,5,6 are my favorites because of the amusing comps/head angles, "expressions"
Seems like you had a great time
Great set of some wonderful birds ! Like many of these but there is a bit too much noise in some which I think could easily be cleaned up without losing detail. Excellent work !
