Mesquite Dunes.
Because of the minuscule amounts of rain falling on them and the quickness of it draining so deep it is mostly unusable by plants- few plants actually grow on the dunes.
But some occasionally do, and for them life is hard and can disappear with the water.

Very nice Charlie. This both have good placement of the plants.
My favorite is #2 for placement and the shadows

Sometimes I get so carried away in there that all I see are the "wave patterns" of the sand.
But there are other picture possibilities also.

Both captures are high quality, simple, and interesting. These are possibly the best of the "dunes" series you have posted thus far.
