Definitely a very difficult to meter scene. You do have quite a bit of flare across the scene, and that does distract a bit, especially the green blobs. Also, I do wish that the white clouds weren't blown out. Bracketing the exposure could have helped a bit with that. The thing I notice most is the tilted horizon. All the clouds slope heavily counterclockwise, which makes the composition feel out of balance. This is definitely a very difficult scene, but if you bracketed your exposures you may very well be able to shine it up in post processing.

But the clouds were so bright compared to the rest of the scene that it made it difficult. I did shot some bracketed sequence but the clouds still came out blown out! I have an 8 mp Rebel so I don't think the DR function is there yet. I did took one shot exposing to the highlights but I was really unable to recover the shadows....cool sky but a silhouette mountain peak. I will straighten the horizon though!! Thanks for the input.
