Todd, one reason perhaps is I was out on a little sandbar, so I could get the river level view. I was really focusing on the rocks off to the left, by the bank as they were reflecting nicely. And the red rock cliff was deeply saturated since it was raining while I was shooting, just testing the water resistance of the 70-200mm. Tilted the lens up a bit to capture that cliff also.
Oh, the beaver made an appearance at dusk, directly across the river from me. He was busy as a beaver gnawing on a branch.
