Hi everyone,

Here's the first of a few images I'll be sharing from a recent trip to Alaska. During this trip, I spent close to a month on the water, both in the Bering Sea and North Pacific. A plethora of seabirds and cetaceans provided the perfect distraction from the pitching and tossing. On one particularly stormy night, the sunset broke through some ominous clouds, letting in a beautiful display of light. The ever present Laysan Albatrosses were a nice addition to the scene. Here is my best attempt.

very cool jess, this is a beautiful and very unique shot. i have alway wanted to do exactly what you are doing now, namely spending summer in the bering sea. i so want to visit the pribilofs and st. lawrence island. hopefully you've got more shots coming!
