Sunrise in this case is another magnificent viewing area on the eastern slope of the mountain.
The road is open after the snow has been cleared- in summer.

That's a lovely sprinkle of red and white and blue colors across the meadow Charlie.
Sounds like you were up early that day.

Very pretty Charlie, it is indeed a wonderful spot. I do believe that just opened two weeks ago, the earliest opening in a few years, which means this should be a good wildflower year

Is this sunrise Charlie time, or the real, actual sunrise? Lots of pretty paintbrushes in the mix. Nice shot Charlie.

Thanks Martin, Ron, Tim and Ken.
This is a place called "Sunrise."
I know because I went there the next day at sunset and its name was STILL "Sunrise."

Ken- there IS no "sunrise Charlie time" because Charlie never liked getting up that early.
But he took a lot of sunset pics, flipped them around and told people they were sunrise images

Nice again as usual Charlie...been awhile since I've gotten down that way, but for this summer my focus is facing north, at least for the most part. Nice stretch of wildflowers for sure...

Taking a whole day to drive completely around Mt Rainier- when it's sunny- is a wonderful experience.
Serious flower shooters will take a week, though
