I'm sure I was being challenged this morning. First he stands in front of my back yard pistol targets and grunts at me twice then leaves a large deposit before departure.

Man - Pistol targets and grizzlies! - I won't be wondering into your backyard. Great "action" shots. I am envious (guns and targets). In Canada, we are required to fight hand to hand with the grizzlies. Thanks for sharing. Scott

I guess that challenges the old adage..." Does a bear s#^t in the woods?". Good captures Bob!

Great shots. How do you deal with a bear on your property?

I can answer 2 questions with one answer. The electric fence that we use to keep bears out of our yard wasn't up when I took the photo but it was about 4 hours after the photo was taken. Doesn't really hurt them but stings them hard enough they don't touch it twice. Several times we had cubs come under the wire and sow would just stay outside and huff at them. Last year they actually wore a trail in about 2 feet outside the perimeter of the fence.
