Hi, and thanks for the comments!
The last one of the geese was a bit of luck that it turned out. I had rented the 300 2.8 and we had just walked down to the river. I was about half way through switching to the 300 when I heard the geese flying up stream "honking". I had time to turn the camera on, raise the camera pan and shoot. Turns out it was set to 1/30th of a second from the night before, and somehow the VR managed to get this one.

The elk look a tad contrasty, through I love the habitat. I really like the pan blur of the geese!

I had to deepen the blacks a bit, there was a lot of steam coming off the water and that was the only thing that helped mitigate the haze look.
