Thanks for taking the time to comment! I was going for the feeling like you don't quite know what is out there beyond the light, so I was ok with the background not really being a strong focus. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with an angle that fleshed out the background a bit more.
But I will definitely have to consider constructing a castle wall in the pot of basil.
