Spotted this big fella today while driving on the freeway. Lucky for me, he got off the telephone line and perched himself on a tree instead!

I'm really not a big bird shooter, so what species is this? I'm thinking coopers hawk? Thanks for the ID of the bird, Juvy Red Tail Hawk

Location is in New Brunswick on the east coast of Canada.

This is a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. The last shot is my favorite as it gives a good environmental backdrop.
