When I was looking at this shot last night I was wondering if the foreground reflection was almost "too much." Interestingly, the raw file of the image shows the same effect. I think it might be due to a couple of things; the increased surface area of the water caused by the small waves (I'd like to test this on a calmer night) and the Nikkor 105's style of rendering colors which I find pleasantly vibrant.
Anyway, it'll be fun to go back to this spot and test the 105mm and other lenses during different water conditions. A few exposures on Velvia film might also be in order. On the 4th of July they set off fireworks behind the amusement rides. That should be a blast!
