1. Real reality in Homer Alaska.
2-4. Hot air balloons in Albuquerque- featuring the bald eagle.
(Note the "chair" in the smaller balloon.)
6. After partially opening up the "envelope" with a large fan, the propane blasters take over- completing the fill-up and permitting the hot air to straighten the balloon and give it the lift needed for take-off.
The first time you hear a nearby blaster (behind your back)- you WILL jump

Nice Charlie...but how does that eagle fly without spreading it's wings...kind of like the idea of the solo one with the guy sitting in the chair...looks like fun.

I agree that flying a smaller, "upside down teardrop" balloon (the traditional and easiest to design) while sitting in a chair looks like it would be the most exciting of all. Something of a sports car among sedans. Make mine a Porsche roadster, please.
Fill an eagle with pressurized air (with a normal exit for gaseous emissions), fold its wings, feed it a couple of bean burritos, and get out of the way! That bird will fly

Ron- I was not actually ON the moon for the first landing

. But I WAS huddled around a small 12-inch TV in Portland- watching the live event.
This is a pic of an authentic moon lander- part of the Apollo Mission Museum at Cape Kennedy in Florida.

Nice shots Charlie! Love the way you are blending reality with the "wanna-bee!" Those are some cute little propane burners in that fifth shot!

Could always do what a few other crazies have done...go the lawn chair lifted by helium balloon routine, not sure if I'd want to see your shots on the way down though.

The shot of the moon lander was taken with a 200mm lens;
plus a 1,250,000X extender.
