The images are unexceptional except for the unusual species involved. I heard and then saw several birds mobbing a large, bulky raptor perched somewhere in a spruce tree. The big one retreated with a steady glide, but one tiny pursuer decided to make sure. Upon closing and nearly colliding, the pursued made a sudden right turn and the pursuer put on the brakes. It all happened in about one-half second. The pursued is a Great Horned Owl and the pursuer a male Baltimore Oriole.

The owl was so bulky it looked like a mini-freight car with wings.
