I know, that title is what got ya looking..... Anyhow, my first shot of one of these. Tough to get a clear shot but this one was ok.

Yes indeed he is a handsome fellow Henrik and you were down on dirt to get this angle buddy, sweet look at him!

Very nice image.
These are one of the most challenging grouse to photograph because their leks are difficult to find.
The contrast between the red, blacks and greens are amazing.

Great shot. I have never seen one in the wild. Like the color of the head.

S P E C T A C U L A R !!!
BG is a little busy as one would expect trying to photograph this bird... but the light is gorgeous and illuminates the SG perfectly.
Congrats on the first H, excellent work.

You're spot on, Bruce. He was in a lot of brush. I staked out open spots hoping he walk into them. It was a lot of hit and miss,,,,,mostly miss.

Well Rob, I consider anything north of Kamloops your neighborhood. So yeah. It was south of Jasper.

Background is indeed busy. I planned it that way. Ok, not at all. But I did scrape my knee. On a branch. It hurt. Almost.
