This falls doesn't get much love - and it is tucked away deep in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Funny enough, it is on maps but not signed anywhere. This exposure was rowdy. The tree to the left casted a shadow, and the falls and foreground are wide open, and not covered in the shadow.

Also I might be moving to Flagstaff for work, so will be a "bit" of a change. I have spent several summers there and visited during the winters when I was a kid. So my goal is to backpack several times this year, as the landscapes are a bit different there - and I am ready for a change.

Hey Dustin,

What a cool shot, it looks like you worked through the exposure issues quite well. And yeah, you better get some hiking and backpacking in, Flagstaff is quite different. Of course the good thing is you are not too far from Sedona, so you can still get a chance to work on some water shots there.

This turned out great Dustin. I really like how the shape of the main waterfall is mimicked by cascade in the foreground.

You gave the falls some love. I like your comp here and you dealt with the dynamic range nicely. Guess we'll be seeing completely different images from you if you move. Should be an interesting change.

. I won;t know for several months if I am going or not. If I do go, it will be weird having a few waterproof items
