I didn't realize we'd have internet for a couple of days before going on a flotel. Haven't even begun to look for spotty cats and my head is already exploding with what I've seen. So just one to whet your appetite.
One of the very friendly and vocal giant river otters munching away on a piranha. See you all in a week or so.

Hi Eric,

I'm so jealous that you are in the Pantanal - it's a place I've wanted to visit for a few years now but unfortunately other things in my life have made it impossible for me.

Great shot of the giant otter and I look forward to seeing a lot more images from your trip.

Looks like you are having a photographers dream!!! Can't wait to see more. Honestly was not familiar with the Pantanal until I saw your post. Went and did some research, watched some videos and thought I hope he gets his jaguar shots

So that's where you've been hiding, Eric?
No doubt a wonderful adventure already- and one that'll continue.
This is a terrific shot of a giant otter. And eating a piranha makes it even better.
Nature shows give the impression that those toothy little predators eat every animal that comes near them. Obviously the otters don't watch much TV.
