Water down a bit in the spillway. Was able to get to an area that has all shades of green and has lovely cone wildflowers and dragons . Love when the marsh is in bloom.
Of course the RWBB was the first thing I saw

Ohhhh these are a treat Birdie.....loving the BG's on the set!

#6 super fantastic on the pinpoint focus. Love the tone of the Bg, this Dragon rocks

#5 I would be inclined to crop more from the right so those leaves don't take me away from the subjects. I like the dual dragons at rest, I like the quality of light and color, very pleasing and easy on the eyes, nice

#4 pretty cool to see those tiny seeds, nice comp and the black and blue dragon adds a nice contrast to this image, I like it!
#3 interesting look to this shot, was wondering how you got so much isolation then I see shot with the 500

Comp for me has me playing in my mind but overall impact is delightful Birdie

#2 Ha, I alway get a kick out of seeing that center hair between the eyes even though there is another coming directly at us that is unseen. I used to think they only had one in the center

This is a marvelous image, nicely presented.
#1 lovely presentation, I do appreciate that you refrained from trying to open up the shadow side more on the bird as that would have hurt the image IMO. I like it a lot as presented, one nit would be to remove the dark arch in the BG above and to the left of the RWBB......again only a nit

Excellent macro work with great backgrounds. I think the double dragonfly/cattails is my favorite.

Thank you so much Karl. Glad they made you smile. I was so surprised on the background in 3. When I loaded the shots, I actually wondered how did that happen . The 500 just keeps surprising me

5 is probably my favorite. I need to work on the crop. I would like to keep that cat tail in the shot. Need to work on my cloning skills to get rid of some of the leaves in the right corner.
Agree about the dark shadow in one, didn't see it . You don't miss much and I'm glad you don't

way to be birdie, these are all really nice. i particularly like the 4th shot, mainly b/c of the very cool perch. are all of those little black dots seeds? the last dragonfly is really stunning!
