Greetings everyone. This is my first post in the Landscape forum, as I mostly linger around the Canon area. Anyway, I'm working on an article for the iOptron Sky Tracker, and I thought I'd share some pics. For the article, I'm just using a 60Da with the cheap 18-55 kit lens, but I've also thrown in a shot from my 5D Mark III with an Ed Mika adapter 55mm f/1.2 FD. Nice lens, fantastic adapter.
The star trails shot is just on a fixed tripod, a few hours worth of data. The tightest Milky Way shot was with the 5D Mark III / 55mm, and the other two with the 60Da and kit lens. The Milky Way shots are all 10 stacked images, calibrated with dark-frame subtraction. It's amazing what technology can do, especially in the humid swamps of Louisiana! Oh, and the building is our dilapidated, but still functional Worley Observatory. A fitting foreground for some astrophotography.

Thanks for looking!
