First time posting here. Some shots from the recent trip through the beautiful beautiful Tioga Pass. Fell in love with that place, especially the Tuolumne Meadows. My first time there, and my first time trying out long exposures. Used Haida 3.0 ND for the long exposure shots.

Really nice shots! Sad I missed this because it was closed when I last visited. I think the first is probably the best composed shot, but I am really digging the clouds in the second (although I could do with a little less sky at the top).

The first has a very fresh, clean feel to it that I like.
The second has great cloud formations, but needs a WB adjustment
The leading line in the third is nicely composed too.

Hey Dhanad,

Welcome to FM Landscape! You have some very nice shots. My favorite is #3, you captured the meadow there so nicely. #2 is my next favorite, and then I do also like #1, though I would clone out that bit of a vertical curving vapor trail in the middle of the sky in it.

Awesome images! The Tuolumne Meadows area is a special place. It's one of the gems in North America.

Welcome to the forum Dhanad! Congrats on the beautiful captures on your first trip to the area. My favorite is #3 -- you've got a nice comp and lovely light on that one. The others are nicely done as well.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the helpful tips folks. I was lucky to have been near the Meadows at the time of the sunset. I am still overwhelmed by its beauty.

#3 for me. Love the s-curve leading into the frame. I'll be camping in Tuolumne Meadows all next week, looking forward to it! There are people in the second shot, not sure if you noticed. I hope I get some images as good as these.

These are certainly very nice shots. I love the deep blue sky and punchy colors. But I have to wonder about the placement of trees near the edges in first (on the very left) and third (very right). IMO they add nothing to the composition and serve as distracting elements since they are incomplete.

Thanks folks, your words are inspiring and mean a lot to me. Milan, you are right about the trees. I did not notice that till you pointed it out, especially the tree in the third one. Should have framed better. Thanks for the tips, will keep the pointers in mind next time.
