Interesting comp you have on this one.
It stands out well agains the black bg but as Karl might say, it may need to be anchored somehow.

Thanks Martin! Anchoring a flower is one of my most tightly held rules. But I'm feeling like a rebel today

This was meant with more "artistic" intent rather than a "journalistic."

No harm with "Anchors away!" It is a fine shot Greg. I do like florals on black, so keep being artistic.

I often use a black velvet background in the field to set off the flowers.

I have problems with cut &paste.

Nice image.

Thanks everyone, for your comments AND tolerating my experiments!

Martines, I shot the flower outside (I have a potted plant of these) and then just used the selection tool in CS6 to grab it and paste onto a back background. I usually shoot flowers inside my "studio" using a black background, so those are a single shot.....
