Not really

. But this was the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw this slide on the light table. I made this image last week on a trip to the East coast of Florida. Just before sunrise, with heavy clouds riding the edge of the Gulfstream and a long 4.5 minute exposure gave the image its other worldly look.

This is an innovative combination of tonal and color ranges. The goals here are interesting and are at best pushing a boundary, and at worst give grounds for some debate - which conspire to make the work nicely done.

I love it. It has a surreal feeling but also one of tranquility. I would love to see that as big print!

It's a very bold composition choice.
The magenta hues combined with the long exposure effectively creates that 'our of this world' mood.

If not for the horizon one would think this rock were above the clouds or not realize the physical true size of this formation, really makes one think and that is a good thing..................I like it
