found a great little cove beach in the Pacific Valley section on CA-1. Explored for a bit and then decided on a composition that i thought was ok and shot away. the two images are sister frames taken one after another. really cant decide which is better and i dont like having two very similare images.

Definitely a tough decision. I like the added rock details in #2, but the bottom right corner seems a bit dark making the first image more balanced to me. Both super shots with some great wave action though, and a perfect shutter speed too!

Hey Tyler,

Sister frames? How come they aren't brother frames??

#2 is my favorite here, I like the rocks in the foreground with incoming water. But... with that said, what I don't like about #1 is the way the water is doing a little curlycue in the lower right. I think if you cropped right above where that little jiggly water is, it would let that nice golden tinged sweeping wave reach to the bottom untouched... then... at least how I picture it in my mind, that would become my favorite.

On #1 the reflecting light on the wave in the foreground is pretty nice.

yeaaa... those sparks on the water are pretty amazing. its what drew me to that one

Brother frames just doesnt sound as sexy as Sister frames

Both are very nice! I prefer the (original version of the) first image. I like the light on the water, and like the simplicity of the water (vs. water and rocks).

Prefer 1. Suggest you also straighten the horizon - it is tipped down to the right in both. Excellent choice on shutter speed.

Very nice! I really like #1. The orange reflection of the wave crest near the bottom is really wonderful. I like #2, but the lower right corner is rather dark. Thanks!
