Nice set Morris.

Looks to me like the jets are a little underexposed. When you go out there tomorrow try setting your camera to spot meter and thus expose for the airplane and let the sky go brighter, alternatively you could leave it on matrix and just tweek the EC. Much easier to darken a too bright sky than to lighten a too dark airplane.

Nice to see my tax dollars at work, grounded due to sequestration?? I'm writing my congressman right now.

I also would like most of these to be a bit darker- but that's just an imo.
"Sequestered?" As a person who hates buzz words in general- what does that word- used in that way- mean?

As far as exposure, these photos were taken in fog and shooting into the bright haze. This years it was a stunning day and I shot sunny 16 and got wonderful results.

Sequestered: the process of a government that can't make a decision so no money was budgeted for anything. Some may think this is good

Manual exposure and a CPL got me close and them some adjustments in Photoshop.

As I've said on the Nature... Forum, Morris, you're the master of blur. I really like the effect of the heat distortion in #3, along with how you framed it.
