I'm also seeing a considerable amount of green/purple lateral CA --- see, e.g., the chair back on the left of your L1010233.jpg (and on the right, too). I suppose that's supposed to get fixed in software, too.
Every lens design requires some tradeoffs. The Leica X Vario lens has a slow aperture, not the tiniest size ever, high price, considerable geometric distortions, non-negligible lateral CA, lower corner resolution... with all those tradeoffs, you'd expect it to be gaining something ultra spectacular in return; but so far, all the negative tradeoffs seem to be piling up without any spectacular returns on some other area of performance.
@Ariel70, I am sure the mini has stellar performance wide open, it might even match the performance of the X18-55 stopped down 1-1.5 stop.
