I haven't seen as many of the usual migratory bird species in the Northeast this spring, but I did see this Great Blue Heron get a pretty good sized fish. Interestingly, the GBH quickly took the fish to dry land, placed the fish momentarily on the ground, appeared to reposition it, and then swallowed it. Then it was airborne.

Very nice sized bream Brian, and a very nice job on these. I must have seen 10 - 15 GBH today, but they were all very skittish ~ Ron

Like the 3rd one best. Under wing shadows in 1st, 2nd and last shots were recovered too much in my opinion. Nice sequence.
