It's about time I've posted some pictures here. These were taken shortly after I got the 300 f4, pretty much my first outing with it. I'll get better with it, guess it just takes some practice.
Thanks, it is a good area for them, a bridge overlooking the river, the 1.4 tc helped as well as the cropping ability of the D800. There are so many at that time of the year it makes it pretty easy though.

Yes, that combination of equipment certainly helps! Still some very nice shots and not always easy.

Oh yea...there were times I wanted to rush down there myself and fight for some. It was the end of the salmon run and they were pretty much just pulling them out.
Thanks Morris...it was with your help that finally got me to decide to post here, but I waited and with reading Conrad's tutorials and with the help of some other FM members it gave me the time to make my shots look better. Now it's time to work on the technique to get new ones in line with some of the other members work that I see.
