This is a used unit that I purchased brand new over a year ago. I just purchased a mini so I am selling this one No scratches on the glass, There is a superficial mark on the back side that the cover made.

I get confused�the Ipad 3 is not the iPad2 that is still being sold�but it isn�t the Retnia display either?

Apple doesn't seem to be selling anything other than the Ipad retina (4th gen). The 3rd generation is similar to the ipad2 except it has the retina display. the 4th generation (current) main difference between the 3rd gen is the lightning cable and ~2X faster CPU.
