Hello again.
This gentleman is an acquaintance of mine that I talk to on a regular basis. He has seen some of my photos and despite not having modelled before, he was quite keen to give it a go.

Today I had some spare time in the schedule and so I offered him the opportunity and he was happy to take me up on my offer.

The shoot was based all outdoors in a number of locations around our city centre.

I did a number in colour and a number in black and white so I will split these up for your viewing pleasure

I like the series, and he does a good job with the modeling, but in #15 the out of focus wall/rail in the corner is more of a distraction to me than an element worth saving.

I like these, he looks like an interesting guy. I really like your processing, seems to fit the mood. I do have to admit I'd catch myself laughing on occasion thinking "BELT BUCKLE!" which of course I'm sure he would love.

Hehe David, yes I can assure you that the belt buckle became a topic of conversation more than once throughout the day.

Hi Aidan

I like them all with just one exception, in most of the images his eyes are in deep shadow and they would be much better if you added some light. When making a portrait, the eyes are the most important element IMHO of course!

Thank you very much for your feedback.
I would tend to agree with you, I wish that I had a reflector at hand or that I had taken a flash with me to fill in some of the shadows.

I may go back to Post and see if I cant recover it somewhat.

You nailed it on #6. Overall, it's a nice series. However, some pictures aren't as well lit. I assume this was shot in natural light. In situations like this, you need to be a bit more conscious where you place your subject, to make sure that his face is exposed in better light (and less PP).
