Have been wanting to get to this iconic location for some time. Had work in the Boston area last week, and finally got my chance.
First shot was taken from an advantage point that I preferred. Unfortunately, it brings into view a myriad of wires and cables. Required quite a bit of cloning, but happy with the results.
Second shot was taken as the sun faded in the west directly onto the lighthouse. It provided some lovely light, and gave off a wonderful glow on the glass.
Had to wake up at 4am to get the last. Got there just in time to capture the crescent moon as it rose over the lighthouse.
All of these are single shot exposures. Hope you enjoy.
You did a great job here with these. #3 is my favorite, and well worth a 4am wakeup call. #1 would be my next favorite. Good job with the cloning out of all those wires and such, you did good.
Very nice work Ed. I really think getting up at 4am was worth it as you got a great photo. Hard to pick a favorite as they all are very good. Let me know when you'll be visiting CT and maybe we can get together again.
I can easily relate to this shot and the feelings of being there, have made this visit on several occasions and it is an iconic stop as you enter into Maine. I can even smell the salt in the air and hear the surf!
Thanks for the feedback on these shots. Much appreciated.

Like all of them, really good light and colors.
Crescent moon on a last one looks great, did you get it all in one frame?
Sasha.
Thanks, Sasha. Yes, just a single frame.

Hi, Jim. Guilty. I have been in work mode of late. Taking a few weeks off now. Hope to get a chance to post more frequently. Hope you are doing well. Would love to get out your way again soon. I'll let you know if it happens.
Man O man! These are really fine images, Ed.
And the second image is super duper! The gorgeous light, the perfect composition, and the nifty buildings themselves.

Nicely done Ed. I'll pick the last as my favorite, love that early morning glow you captured!
Nubble has always been a must stop for me whenever I visit Maine and you did it proud.
