Been a rainy weekend so I've been working through some springtime photos. It's so much more fun to take them I can't ever keep up haha.

Here are some from the past few weeks around the house and a lunch delivery at the local Botanical Gardens.

1. House Wren - It was checking out a bird house full of Chickadee chicks.


2. Rose-breasted Grosbeak - Male that hatched last year.


3. Rose-breasted Grosbeak - Mature adult male with no legs because he was on my feeder and not the provided stick!


4. Eastern Phoebe - Bringing a juicy dragonfly to the nest.


5. Bonus Floral!! - Iris in the rain!

Great shot in the filtered light of the Wren!

Just a thought if the stick you are providing is the one in #2 you might find a way to rub in some oil or something natural to darken it so it is not as reflective perhaps? Grosbeaks are cool birds, wish I could get on to my feeder!

I am waiting for my Iris to bloom, yours is a nice reminder of what is to come, love those colors and textures to play with

That is an angry looking wren! Quite a nice set overall John. The floral might benefit for a bit bit of a crop at the bottom, and possibly the left. The visual focal point is the water on the frilly petal bits, and I think that a bit of cropping would help that point of interest stand out more.
