Hey guys. I'm very much on the fence with both of these, so general impressions would be very much appreciated
First, the presumed throwaway. I went to Phantom Falls, on North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve (near Chico, California) two weeks ago. The plans were formed during the heavy rainstorm about 1-1.5 months ago, which made me and my friends think the falls might still be flowing on the weekend of 4/20. Unfortunately, they were pretty darned dry. The only waterfall that was still flowing at all was the main attraction, Phantom Falls, pictured here. But man, it had really slowed to a dribble. The result was a pretty cool phenomenon, though. By the time the water neared the bottom, where the cliff gives way to the cave behind, the water had atomized into a fine mist, and the sun was at just the right angle to use the mist to create a rainbow. It was a unique site, so I thought you guys might like to see it, but I'm not positive the light and colors are good enough to label this a keeper. Thoughts?

Next, the presumed keeper (though I'm still very much on the fence). At the top of the cliff pictured in the above photograph, there were some really need succulent-esque wildflowers growing on the cliff. This little guy was all alone, with the intense sun setting him apart from the cliffs. My main qualm with image, though, is that the background might look like tree bark to the uninformed observer, not a cliff. The drama of this photo, to me, is dependent on it being clear that the background is indeed a cliff. I regret not taking some additional shots to make this a panorama, since the trees you can see on the left edge would definitely have made it clear it is a cliff, but oh well, lesson learned.

Thanks for looking!
