Here are my three obligatory Moab arch shots.

Mesa, Delicate and LandscapeArch.

If you've never shot Mesa arch at sunrise, be forewarned. I had 20 shooters all around me. Get there early and claim a spot. Cattle call!

Hey Richard,

You got a nice shot of Mesa Arch, nice glow and you worked the sun well. I would clone out the brightest of the round lens flares that are in the middle of the arch though, they don't add to the shot. So you only had 20 people there shooting with you? It must have been a light day there...

#2 is a nice view of Delicate Arch, There is a bit of a green cast in the shot, you can notice it in the sky where the sky is greenish, I would fix that color cast. Otherwise it's a nice shot, and it's great to see the orange glow on the horizon.

Jim

Richard,
Thanks for posting, I just returned from the area and curious to see others take on these icons.

Nice shots, love clean sunburst.
With Mesa Arch, it would be nice to clone out lens flare and to straighten the horizon.
Agree with Jim on fixing the cast on Delicate Arch, looks like there is too much cyan. If you fix it, the Arch will become warm terracotta as it supposed to be, and red in a sky will intensify.

Sasha.

Hi Sasha. Of course you're right. I never noticed the lens flare before. Will get rid of it ASAP.

They are both nice. In the first Mesa Arch I would correct the horizon tilt... As long as you are fixing things...

Looks like you managed to battle your way into a good spot for Mesa Arch. I would clone the two blobs of flare out though.

I was going to say I would take shooting with 20 people anyday over what I encountered...

Really nice sets you have here. Landscape Arch looks neat.
