1. Horizontal

3. Moonrise. Had to drive to another rim, a bit too late, thus overexposed Moon.

Hey Sasha,

Nice work on these. Coal Mine Canyon is sure getting crowded! I am thinking #2 is my favorite, that is super sweet composition, you really worked the foreground perfectly. In #1, maybe crop just a hair off the bottom to lose a bit of those roots? But it's still a sweet wide view you got there. You might have just missed the timing with the moon in #3, but I think it still looks very nice. The clouds in the sky add a very nice touch.

Good job, it looks like it is going to be a good trip for you!

Jim, thanks for the comment and suggestion. Will try a different crop on #1. They all are "straight from the camera", with minimal processing.
Yes, it was a great trip, I enjoyed it very much, everything went per plan. The only glitch was me getting sick with a cold on a way from Phoenix, but it did not stop me from going. Still recovering

aubsxc, AMaji, Twigs, Charlie, Stan and Johnathan, thank you so much for your responses, I appreciate it very much.
These two shots were made hand-held while I explored the rim. This viewpoint was new to me, I was at the Coal Mine before but at another rim (the one where the third picture was taken from.)

As about #3 - wish I did not wait until the last moment of the sunset and went there earlier, to be able choose better foreground, because I did not really see anything except for the moon and a faint sight of the canyon. Also, getting out of this place in a dark is not much fun.
