I went out for tea at Steeps - a tea house in Calgary - with my friend Kat and her daughter. To my surprise, I found some people playing chess. This took me to my old Beatnik days when you went to the local coffee house, wore a white roll neck sweater, smoked you pipe, and played chess. Seems like some of the good old days have returned.
An additional delight was that two of the ladies working at the tea house are the finest art models I have ever met (Marla and Jackie). Too bad my photographs of them are generally not family rated and would violate all sorts of decorum standards on FM. This was nice since Kat had never met these to ladies before.
After tea, Kat and I walked along 17th avenue for a short while to see what was happening on this delightful spring evening. This is one of the few streets in Calgary where people congregate and have fun.
In spite of the exif data on the image, the shots were all taken on a 50mm F1.0 Noctilux at some seemingly appropriate ISO and F-stop.
