Greetings from France !

Here are some portraits I took during the last winter.
I try to keep things simple and clean. C&C more than welcomed.

totally OT, but I cannot wait until face metal (specifically the "cow nose ring") dies a painful, miserable death.

The metal isn't my taste either, but it's about the photography, so here goes:

I think you need to crop closer to the tops of heads in most of these. For example, #1 will remove some bright areas of the top left when you do that and feature your model more.

#3 is my favorite of the set as I think everything works in that image.

#6 is a close second with #5 coming in third--with a couple of caveats...

Keep in mind this is *my* personal taste and would be *my* processing choice: The blemishes on the model's face in #5 are a bit too prominent and distract from the model's interesting eyes, lips and overall facial features. By contrast, observe that the eyes and lips are more distinct in #6, which cause the blemishes (though visible) to not be distracting to the eye.

What I would do is keep the blemishes in #5, but reduce the contrast in then slightly--just until they no longer compete for attention with the eyes and lips as seen in #6.

I actually tried to correct those blemishes but ended up with something that looked like "too much" retouching for my tastes. Her smile looked a bit fake

Less contrast might help, indeed. Thanks for your input.

I "only" fiddle with lightroom sliders and basic brushes, I have a couple presets for routine stuff and that's it. No third-party software or anything like that.
