I can't remember exactly where this was taken. Probably somewhere not too far from the Dynjandi waterfalls.

I also have a slideshow with Westfjords shots if anyone wants to take a look.

I only saw a small part of Iceland- but it was enough to make me realize how rugged and empty most of it is.
And this image conveys that feeling to me, Helen.

Have not been here but reminds me of the Shetland Islands where I have been twice.

Reminds me of the ngorongoro crater with clouds covering the rim. Very nice.

Thanks for the replies!

The Westfjords are one of the more remote, lonely parts of Iceland. But also one of the most beautiful.(at least in my opinion)

I agree about the scale. One of the photos with the house set in front of the mountains and it shows how insignificant we really are. Beautiful slide show Helen. Some jaw dropping photos that you have taken!
